Arrive at Cape Town International Airport - where a member of Lekker Camper will meet you from your flight and deliver your lekker campervan. Head for Cape Town and explore this wonderful city. All maps are provided by Lekker Camper.

Day 2 - Simons Town and the Cape Peninsula

Wake up near Boulders beach. Explore old Simons town. Then drive to the Cape Point. Explore the wonderful scenery and take in the amazing views from the light house.

Day 3 - Stellenbosch and the Boland Wine region

Go wine tasting in Stellenbosch and Franschhoek. There is an abundance of wine estates to visit, so collect a wine route map from a toursim office or decide where to stop as you go along. The scenery along the way is spectacular.

Day 4 - Arniston and the Foot of Africa

Drive along the whale route to Hermanus, famous for the best land-based Whale watching in the world. Head ‘way down south’ to the southernmost point of Africa !

Day 5 - Swellendam and the Overberg

After Cape Town and Stellenbosch, Swellendam is the third oldest settlement in South Africa. The Breede River provides an idyllic backdrop and offers scenery, bird watching, fishing, and a refreshing swimming spot.

Day 6 - Oudtshoorn and Route 62

What makes Cape Route 62 really special, is the calm and peacefulness that it offers travellers. Ronnies 'sex' shop (do't worry - it's a bar/lunch spot) is the perfect stopover before continuing through the valleys.

Day 7 - Oudtshoorn and the Little Karoo

This is the ostrich capital of the world you find the world's biggest bird in great numbers. Visit one of the several surrounding ostrich show farms. The Cango Caves are the oldest and one of the most popular attractions in the region.

Day 8 - Knysna and the Garden Route

Knysna has been called South Africa’s favourite small town and it’s not hard to see why. The Garden Route, as its name implies, really is a scenic treat!

Day 17 & 18 - Royal Natal NP in the Drakensberg

The main feature is the Drakensberg Amphitheatre, a rock wall 5km (3 miles) long and 500 metres (546 yards) high. Mont-aux-Sources peak where the Orange River starts its incredible journey west across South Africa. There are several great walks to explore on foot or horseback.

Day 19 - Umfolozi Game Reserve and Kwazulu Natal

The Hluhluwe Umfolozi is home to the big 5 and home of Operation Rhino. It is world renowned for its white rhino conservation. The Park covers some 96 000 hectares and contains an immense diversity of fauna and flora.

Day 20 & 21 - The Greater St Lucia Wetland Park

This chunk of sub-tropical paradise contains a mind-blowing range of natural systems, ranging from dune, swamp and coastal forests to rocky and sandy shores, coral reefs and submarine canyons, mangroves, savanna grassland, thickets, woodlands, and the largest protected wetland in southern Africa. This park is a lekker camper favourite - hear the hippos roar from your campsite!

Day 22 & 23 - Swaziland

Head for the bush and experience the sights and sounds of Hlane against the roar of Hlane’s magnificent lions – the symbol of royalty and the pride of Swaziland.Guided walking safaris, mountain biking and game drives in Hlane's open Land Rover's are also available.

Day 24 & 25 - Kruger National Park
There is simply nothing to beat that rising feeling of anticipation and excitement as you enter the park in the half-light of the spectacular African dawn, surrounded by the noise of a unique ‘dawn chorus’. Which animal shall you spot first? Perhaps an elephant, a family of warthogs or possibly even the elusive cheetah.

Day 26 - Graskop and the Panorama Route
Follow the spectacular rim of the Blyde River Canyon, an amazing 2,300-foot deep gorge cutting a vast swathe through the Great Escarpment. Deep circular rock formations created by years of erosion and many excellent vantage points offer some of the most breathtaking views in Africa.

Day 27 - Pilgrims Rest
The entire town of Pilgrim's Rest was declared a National Monument in 1986 as a living memory of the early gold rush days in South Africa during the late 1800s / early 1900s.

Day 28 - Johannesburg
Visit the Apartheid Museum, a truly fascinating exhibition charting the apartheid years and the struggle against it, culminating in the first democratic elections. Visit Hilbrow and Soweto - Experience it.
